Here is a selection of the best mushrooms photos we have taken to date. My little research project has grown over the course of the summer to over 200 photos of the different mushrooms we have discovered, photographed (mainly by Doug) and attempted to identify. The rest of the mushroom photos are available for those who are interested.

This all started on a humid morning in June when our family was on a hike on the snowmobile roads behind our house (what we now refer to as our "Mushroom Trail") Since then we have been hunting mushrooms with our digital camera here, on the Appalachian Trail and in the White Mountains and have been aided by Doug's dad, my folks and our neighbors, the Bish's. All great mushrooms hunters. At home, I use my trusty field guide to identify the mushrooms from their pictures and lately have been taking a few spore prints as well.
